Restauracja Cechowa

I cannot believe that this place has anything above 2 stars. To give you some information, this restaurant is run by one of the finalists from „Hell’s Kitchen”, which should make her a pretty good chef, right? Well, if that’s the case, then she’s given up on cooking.

4 of us had dinner there. We all had a combination of entrees with vegetables. All of the vegetables, all of them, were just thrown in to a pot and boiled until mush. It was nasty. For someone who should be able to cook, and advertises their abilities with a huge poster outside, showing their fame, this was the worst representation of vegetable preparation I have seen. The meat was ok, but didn’t even measure up to the take-out down the street.

Now, let’s move on to the wine. All of it was Carlo Rossi, which is owned by Gallo Vineyards. It’s the cheapest, crappiest wine available in USA. I couldn’t believe that she was displaying this like it was drinkable.

This is a perfect example of someone that got a little fame, went back to their home town, and coasted on their reputation.

The only reason why I gave them 2 stars was because the servers were excellent. Shame that they work for someone who doesn’t care about the food they serve.

For a great dining experience, 3 minutes walking distance away, try the newly opened Misiu. Great food, great selection of beer, wine, and spirits. The staff is great too.

Always delicious and fresh food, very nice and helpful service. Highly recommend to everyone who like great food. A+++
