We really did not expect to get so wonderful food in a place where there is hardly any competition. This restaurant would not be out of place in even most challenging foodie areas.
We had two starters (steak tartare, and livers on a potato pancake with pear and balsamic/cherry sauce) and two mains (chicken breast with mushroom sauce and gnocchi, and duck with apples and fluffy steamed buns). Everything was super tasty, wonderfully presented, and staff was friendly and attentive.
We walked in without reservation on a Monday early evening and had no problem, but apparently for weekends it is highly recommended to book in advance as the restaurant organises various functions. After having tried this food I can totally understand why they are so busy!
The menu is so extensive with many yummy looking options that we’re actually thinking about visiting there again before heading back to Poznan. And I am already thinking of arranging my dad’s birthday there.
We did not have wine on this occasion (driving) but the selection looked wide and we actually recognised one wine from a winery we know and like a lot – what are the chances!
If you’re anywhere in the area I would strongly recommend getting out of your way to come here.

Nice setting, good food, it was quick (almost too quick).
Didn’t ask how I wanted my steak cooked, although it was a really good cut of meat.
Staff were amicable.
Beer wasn’t great.
Prices are good considering the quality of food.
