Great meal and staff. First up are the staff, friendly and informative about the menu, I hope the owners realise how good their staff are. The meals we chose from the menu were excellent and we were still talking about them the next day. At times things get lost in translation, but not this time our waitress explained how to eat the dumplings and this made our experience an enjoyable one.
Highly recommend.
This was on my way into Stary Rynek, food smelled incredible so stopped for some dinner. I had odjachuri, plus a dark beer. Really delicious. Great staff, spoke English very well.
I haven’t been to many Georgian restaurants, but this one felt more authentic than the ones I’ve tried in Paris. That said, the food didn’t quite convince me. I had the cheese khinkali, which was okay, but a bit too heavy. I wish it had been mixed with some veggies to make it more balanced. The meat dish we had was supposed to be slow-cooked for hours, but unfortunately, the beef wasn’t tender and lacked flavor. The soup was alright, but it tasted too similar to the main dish, almost like a diluted version of it. The highlight was definitely the bread, which was delicious—honestly, it’s what saved the rest of the meal for me.
Everything is okay, but the pricing is very different in Poland and Ukraine. 1 khinkali in Ukraine costs around 2 zlotys, in Poland it’s around 8 zlotys. Sorry, but for this level of restaurant it’s too much.
